Attorney Case Pledge Form

  • Cases assigned by the Pro Bono Program are screened for merit, and clients must meet financial eligibility requirements.
  • Pro Bono attorneys are asked to take cases only in the area of law selected on their pledge forms.
  • Pro Bono attorneys are always contacted by the Program prior to the referral of a case.
  • The Pro Bono Program pays all costs and expenses incurred on pro bono cases (such as mileage and incidentals).
  • The Pro Bono Program provides malpractice insurance on each pro bono case.

Your support is needed to enable us to expand our capacity to represent the increasing number of people who need our services right now and in the years to come.

State Bar of Michigan’s Voluntary Pro Bono Standard urges all its members to annually:
  • Handle 3 Pro Bono cases;
  • Provide 30 hours of pro bono services; or
  • Donate $300 (or $500 if able) to an organization such as ours.
